What chiefs ask first
How long does setup take?
Once your agency has approved it, under two hours to your first operation — you create the team, share a join code, your operators are in. The approval itself is the long pole, and it sits on your side of the table: your TAC or CSO makes the scope call, not us. There is nothing to install and nothing for IT to build.
Does this replace our current planning software?
It can, and for most teams it does — the paper packet, the Word template, the shared drive. If your agency already has records or CAD software it stays where it is; Command Post is the planning and briefing layer in front of it.
What if my team isn't tech-savvy?
If your operators can use a phone, they can use Command Post. They tap a join code once and from then on the briefing is just there. The commander does the building; everyone else reads.
How is our data secured?
Your agency owns its data and decides who sees each operation. We administer accounts and hold no standing access to your operational content. The Security & CJIS Posture section above covers scope in detail.
Can multiple teams share an operation?
Yes. Cross-jurisdictional sharing is supported for joint operations, controlled by your agency, and every share is a logged decision — not an open door.
What happens after the first 10 teams?
Standard pricing applies to everyone after them. If you are one of the first 10, your founding rate is locked for as long as you stay on it — it does not step up at renewal.
